A 2 Nights / 3 Days guided yatra to the second Panch Kedar temple — through Ransi's oak forests, Gaundhar's meadows, and the last ridge before Lord Shiva's navel shrine.
Madhyamaheshwar is the second temple of the Panch Kedar circuit, believed to house the navel of Lord Shiva. Unlike Kedarnath, there's no helicopter shortcut here — you earn the darshan on foot, across 18 kilometres of oak and rhododendron forest, past the meadows of Gaundhar and the last settlement at Nanti, before the trail opens onto the temple at 3,497 metres.
Our Madhyamaheshwar Tour Package handles the road journey from Rishikesh, the trek logistics, mountain-trained guides, permits, and stays at every stage — so the only thing you need to focus on is the climb.
A compact weekend yatra from Delhi, timed around an overnight journey out and back. Tap a day to see the full plan.
Board your overnight vehicle from Delhi on Friday night. Travel through the night via Haridwar and Rishikesh, heading toward the Garhwal hills as the group settles in for the long drive ahead.
Arrive early morning and continue the drive along the Alaknanda valley, stopping at Devprayag to see the confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers, and at Dhari Devi Temple en route. Continue to Ransi village, the trek's starting point, for check-in and an evening briefing on the trek ahead.
Begin the trek from Ransi after breakfast, following the trail through pine and oak forest toward Gaundhar, a meadow camp beside the Madhu Ganga stream. Settle in for the evening, with the Budha Madmaheshwar trek planned for early the next morning.
Start early for the trek to Budha Madmaheshwar, the winter seat of the deity, for darshan and a quiet look at the surrounding ridgelines. Return to Gaundhar, then continue the descent back to Ransi. In the evening, board your vehicle for the overnight return journey to Delhi.
Arrive back in Delhi early Tuesday morning, concluding the yatra. Drop-off at the designated point in Delhi.
